Dave Robinson isn’t a career politician, a culture-war personality, or a professional outrage merchant. He’s a policy advocate, mediator, and problem-solver who has spent years working on complex public issues—often behind the scenes—because the work mattered, not because it was popular.
Dave believes leadership means listening carefully, studying the details, and making decisions that serve the long-term public good. This campaign isn't about the theater of politics; it's about the competence of governing.

Ending the Era of "Backroom" Politics:
Utahns deserve a representative who works for them, not for a small circle of billionaire donors. "Gondola Ben" McAdams and his associates operated behind closed doors to orchestrate one of the priciest land and transportation "plays" in Utah history. Dave Robinson is the only candidate who has successfully taken this machine to court—and won.
The proposed Little Cottonwood Gondola is the "final payment" in a backroom deal that has already cost Utah taxpayers over $100 million in preliminary spending.
The Choice is clear:

The Vision: Water Security for Every Homeowner In Utah
In Utah, water isn't just a resource; it’s a property right.
For over a century, outdated laws and constitutional loopholes have left tens of thousands of Utahns in a "legal gray area" regarding their access to water.
Dave Robinson has been a key architect in modernizing these laws, ensuring that whether you live inside or outside city limits, your right to clean, reliable water is protected by the Utah Constitution.

My Home, My Refuge—Not Their Revenue Stream
Utah homeowners are being funneled into a litigation machine designed to protect donors, not residents. For too long, the Utah "Establishment" has allowed private management companies and their law firms to operate as shadow governments with total immunity.
Dave is running for Congress to break the "Devastating Loop" of non-accountability and ensure that the law applies to everyone—even the politically connected.

"I believe that real compassion starts with the truth. In 2020, when the Governor’s office and special interest groups pushed for sweeping legislation based on anecdotal narratives, I did what a representative is supposed to do: I looked at the data.
My guest opinion in Utah Policy challenged the statistical foundation of the state’s 'crisis' narrative and forced a long-overdue conversation about transparency in social policy.
Advocacy shouldn't be about feeding into old narratives of victimhood; it should be about empowering every Utahn with facts, intellectual honesty, and a refusal to ignore the data." — Dave Robinson

Big Tent Leadership—Winning for All Utahns
Results Above Party Lines - Politics should be about solving problems, not score-keeping.
In 2020, Dave Robinson served as the Communications Director for the Salt Lake County GOP, where he pioneered a "Big Tent" strategy.
By focusing on the kitchen-table issues that affect every family—water security, property rights, county budget, and government transparency—Dave helped lead a historic wave of victories in Utah’s most diverse and politically competitive county.

Workforce Single Family Housing made Possible
Utah is facing a housing crisis, but the solution in CD1 isn't more urban sprawl or only massive, corporate-owned apartment blocks.
Robinson transforms underutilized city blocks into high-quality homes priced for the workforce. Dave doesn’t just talk about housing; he builds it, navigates the complex challenges, and fights the bureaucratic red tape that keeps Utah families from owning their own slice of the American Dream.

The Importance of the Wasatch Canyons:
The Central Wasatch Canyons are the lifeblood of our community, providing drinking water and serving as a world-class recreational backyard for millions. However, much of this terrain is a "checkerboard" of private mining claims and public U.S. Forest Service land.
Cardiff Fork became a flashpoint of conflict. Locked gates and a breakdown in communication between landowners and the Forest Service threatened to permanently cut off public access to one of the most popular backcountry areas in the Wasatch.
Private-Public Diplomacy:
Rather than pursuing litigation, Dave stepped in and shepherded the building of an "alliance" between the landowners and the U.S. Forest Service.

Dave Robinson believes that the most effective government is the one closest to the people. For decades, the residents of the Wasatch Canyons were governed by a "one-size-fits-all" approach from Salt Lake County.
Dave was a key participant in the movement to incorporate the Town of Brighton, proving that even when a community is surrounded by federal lands, local control is not just possible—it is essential.
Winning the "Boundary War"
A town is only as strong as its tax base. During the incorporation process, major corporate interests—including the Solitude and Brighton resorts—attempted to "opt-out" of the town’s boundaries to avoid local oversight.
